We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Counsel to join our dynamic legal team and lead our Intellectual Property (IP) Transactions practice. As a Senior Counsel, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our IP team and business leaders to develop and execute IP strategies, negotiate and draft complex IP agreements, and advise on IP related issues.   1. Develop and execute intellectual property strategies in collaboration with the IP team and business leaders.
  2. Lead the IP Transactions practice, including negotiating and drafting complex IP agreements.
  3. Advise on IP-related issues and provide guidance to business units on IP matters.
  4. Stay updated on the latest developments in IP law and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  5. Conduct thorough research and analysis to support IP strategies and transactions.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, and engineering, to identify and protect valuable IP assets.
  7. Manage and maintain relationships with external IP counsel and other relevant stakeholders.
  8. Communicate and present complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-legal stakeholders.
  9. Provide legal support for M&A transactions and other corporate initiatives related to IP.
  10. Develop and implement best practices and processes for efficient and effective management of IP transactions.
  11. Prepare and deliver training sessions for internal stakeholders on IP-related topics.
  12. Monitor and manage risks associated with IP transactions.
  13. Participate in industry conferences and events to stay updated on industry trends and network with other legal professionals.
  14. Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the legal team.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Intellectual Property Law: A Senior Counsel At Hpe Should Have A Strong Background In Ip Law, With A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Handling Complex Ip Transactions And Agreements.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Technology Industry: Given That Hpe Is A Leading Technology Company, The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of The Technology Industry And The Legal Implications Of Ip Transactions In This Space.

  • Strong Negotiation Skills: As A Senior Counsel, The Ability To Negotiate Favorable Terms And Agreements For Hpe Is Crucial. The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successful Negotiations And A Strong Understanding Of Ip Valuation And Licensing.

  • Business Acumen: Hpe's Senior Counsel Should Have A Business-Oriented Mindset And Be Able To Provide Strategic Legal Advice To Support The Company's Ip Transactions And Overall Business Objectives.

  • Team Leadership Experience: This Role Requires Managing A Team Of Attorneys And Paralegals, Therefore, The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In Team Leadership, Including Mentoring, Coaching, And Delegating Tasks Effectively To Achieve Desired Outcomes.
