- Design and implement Linux systems to meet the specific needs of our clients.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing Linux systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop innovative solutions for complex technical problems.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in Linux technology to continuously improve our systems.
- Provide technical support to clients, including resolving any Linux-related issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for Linux systems and processes.
- Participate in project planning and provide input on technical feasibility and requirements.
- Ensure all Linux systems are secure and compliant with company policies and industry standards.
- Continuously monitor and improve the performance and stability of Linux systems.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
- Train and mentor junior team members on Linux best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide timely solutions.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues or risks related to Linux systems.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent Hewlett Packard Enterprise in a positive manner at all times.
Proficiency In Linux Operating Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Extensive Experience Working With Different Linux Distributions, Including Red Hat, Centos, And Ubuntu. They Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Linux System Administration, Troubleshooting, Security, And Scripting.
Strong Knowledge Of Server Hardware: As A Linux Engineer At Hewlett Packard Enterprise, The Candidate Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Server Hardware, Including Blade Servers, Rack Servers, And Virtualization Technologies Like Vmware And Hyper-V. They Should Also Be Familiar With Server Management Tools, Such As Hpe Oneview.
Experience With Automation And Configuration Management Tools: The Candidate Should Be Proficient In Automation And Configuration Management Tools Like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, And Saltstack. They Should Be Able To Write Code And Scripts To Automate Tasks And Manage Configuration Changes In A Large-Scale Environment.
Networking And Storage Experience: A Linux Engineer At Hewlett Packard Enterprise Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Networking Concepts And Protocols, Including Tcp/Ip, Dns, Dhcp, And Vlans. They Should Also Have Experience Configuring And Troubleshooting Storage Solutions, Such As San And Nas.
Strong Problem-Solving And Communication Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Troubleshoot Complex Issues And Provide Solutions In A Timely Manner. They Should Also Have Excellent Communication Skills To Work Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
