- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all HVAC systems and equipment to ensure efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems, and make necessary repairs and replacements.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and address them in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and keep track of inventory levels for necessary parts and supplies.
- Respond to and resolve any emergency maintenance requests in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in HVAC technology and techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations related to HVAC and facilities maintenance.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safety and efficiency of maintenance operations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to provide updates on maintenance tasks and projects.

Relevant Education And Training: A Hvac And Facilities Maintenance Technician At Hershey Should Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, As Well As Vocational Training In Hvac Systems, Electrical Systems, Plumbing, And General Maintenance. Additional Certifications Or Licenses In Relevant Areas Would Be Beneficial.
Experience In Hvac And Facility Maintenance: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Hvac And Facility Maintenance, Preferably In A Commercial Or Industrial Setting. Experience With Troubleshooting, Repair, And Maintenance Of Various Hvac Systems, As Well As Knowledge Of Building Systems And Controls, Is Important.
Knowledge Of Safety And Compliance Regulations: The Technician Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Regulations And Compliance Standards Related To Hvac And Facility Maintenance. This Includes Knowledge Of Osha Regulations, Epa Regulations For Refrigerants, And State And Local Building Codes.
Strong Technical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Job Requires A High Level Of Technical Knowledge And The Ability To Troubleshoot And Solve Problems Related To Hvac Systems, Electrical Systems, Plumbing, And Other Building Systems. Candidates Should Also Have Experience With Maintenance And Repair Of Various Tools And Equipment.
Teamwork And Communication Abilities: The Hvac And Facilities Maintenance Technician Will Work Closely With Other Team Members, As Well As Contractors And Vendors. Therefore, Strong Teamwork And Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role.
