- Operate and maintain forklifts in a safe and efficient manner to support the production and distribution of our chocolate products.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in proper working condition.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with forklifts, and perform necessary repairs and adjustments to keep them running smoothly.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of forklift parts and supplies, and coordinate with purchasing department to order replacements when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies while operating forklifts and performing maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to determine the best use of forklifts and assist with material handling as needed.
- Train and mentor new forklift operators on proper operation and safety procedures.
- Keep accurate records of forklift maintenance, repairs, and inventory levels to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and new forklift models to make recommendations for equipment upgrades and improvements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, and report any safety hazards or concerns to management.

Formal Training In Forklift Maintenance And Repair: The Ideal Candidate For A Forklift Technician Job At Hershey Should Have Completed A Formal Training Program In Forklift Maintenance And Repair.
