- Design and implement efficient and effective processes for Hershey's production lines.
- Develop and maintain process specifications and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct process analysis and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to ensure smooth implementation of processes.
- Utilize technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve process issues.
- Conduct experiments and trials to test new processes and improve existing ones.
- Monitor and track process performance, making recommendations for optimization and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all process design and implementation.
- Train and educate production teams on new processes and procedures.
- Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in process technology.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including presenting reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Maintain detailed documentation of process design and implementation activities.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source new equipment and materials for process improvement.
- Participate in project planning and budgeting for process design and implementation projects.

Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Engineering Principles Is Crucial For Success In A Process Design & Implementation Role At Hershey. A Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field Like Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Or Industrial Engineering Is Typically Required.
Experience In Process Design And Implementation: Candidates Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Designing And Implementing Processes In A Manufacturing Or Production Environment. This Can Include Experience With Process Improvement Initiatives, Optimization Projects, And New Process Development.
Knowledge Of Relevant Software And Tools: Hershey May Require Candidates To Have Proficiency In Software And Tools Commonly Used In Process Design And Implementation, Such As Autocad, Solidworks, Or Process Simulation Software. Familiarity With Statistical Analysis Tools Like Minitab May Also Be Preferred.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Process Design And Implementation Involves Identifying Inefficiencies, Analyzing Data, And Developing Solutions To Improve Processes. Candidates Should Have Excellent Analytical Skills And Be Able To Think Critically And Creatively To Solve Complex Problems.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Abilities: As A Process Design & Implementation Engineer, You Will Work Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Production, Quality, And Maintenance.
