1. Assist surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures with a high level of technical proficiency.
2. Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment prior to procedures, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available and in good working condition.
3. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment in a timely manner.
4. Maintain a sterile and safe environment in the operating room and adhere to all infection control protocols.
5. Scrub in and assist with surgical procedures, including passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon as needed.
6. Monitor and document patient vital signs and assist with positioning and draping of patients for surgery.
7. Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are clean, sterile, and in good working condition.
8. Train and mentor junior surgical technologists, providing guidance and support as needed.
9. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all procedures and supplies used during surgery.
