
RN Registered Nurse - Inpatient Rehab

- Provide excellent patient care: This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans to ensure optimal physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of patients in the Inpatient Rehab unit.
- Foster a supportive and dynamic work environment: Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote a positive and productive work culture, where open communication and teamwork are valued.
- Utilize clinical expertise: Utilize evidence-based practices and clinical knowledge to provide safe and effective care to patients in the Inpatient Rehab unit.
- Contribute to patient rehabilitation and recovery: As a member of the rehab team, the RN will play a critical role in helping patients regain their physical and functional abilities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation: Ensure all patient charts and records are accurately and promptly updated according to established protocols and policies.
- Implement and monitor treatment plans: Work closely with the rehab team to implement and monitor individualized treatment plans for each patient, making adjustments as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments: Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Educate patients and their families: Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their condition, treatment plans, and self-care techniques to promote a successful recovery.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to hospital policies and procedures related to infection control, safety, and handling of hazardous materials.
- Continuously strive for self-improvement: Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities to improve knowledge and skills, and stay abreast of advancements in the field of rehabilitation nursing.
Valid Rn License: A Candidate Must Possess A Valid And Active Rn License From The State Where They Will Be Working. This Ensures They Have Met The Necessary Education And Training Requirements To Practice As A Registered Nurse.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: Most Employers, Including Henry Ford Health System, Require Candidates To Have A Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree. This Degree Provides A Comprehensive Understanding Of Nursing Principles And Prepares Nurses For A Wide Range Of Patient Care Settings.
Inpatient Rehab Experience: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working In An Inpatient Rehab Setting. This Experience Demonstrates Their Ability To Care For Patients With Complex Medical Conditions And Provide Rehabilitative Care.
Bls Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification Is Required For All Rn Positions At Henry Ford Health System. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Is Trained In Basic Life-Saving Techniques, Such As Cpr And Aed Use.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: Inpatient Rehab Nurses Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Also Need Strong Critical Thinking Skills To Assess Patients And Develop Appropriate Care Plans.
