- Adapt to working in various units within the health system, including labor and delivery, antepartum, and postpartum.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on labor and delivery processes, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Continuously monitor and assess patients for any changes in condition and provide appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution: A Rn Regional Float Labor & Delivery Position At Henry Ford Health System Requires A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, As It Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory And Practice.
Active Rn License In The State Of Michigan: To Work As A Rn Regional Float Labor & Delivery Nurse At Henry Ford Health System, The Candidate Must Possess A Valid, Active Rn License In The State Of Michigan. This Ensures That The Individual Meets The Necessary Educational And Professional Requirements To Practice Nursing In The State.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Labor And Delivery Experience: As A Regional Float Nurse, The Individual Must Be Able To Handle A Variety Of Situations In The Labor And Delivery Unit. Therefore, Candidates Must Possess Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certifications To Ensure They Are Prepared To Handle Emergency Situations.
