  1. Provide specialized care to critically ill surgical patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit.
  2. Monitor patient vital signs and assess their condition, including changes in their condition.
  3. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  5. Educate patients and their families on their condition and how to manage it at home.
  6. Assist with diagnostic tests and interpret results to inform patient care.
  7. Document patient care and progress accurately and timely.
  8. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  9. Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as needed.
  10. Stay updated on current practices and advancements in critical care nursing.
  11. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
  15. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to creating a culture of safety and excellence in patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License In The State Of Michigan

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Icu Or Critical Care Setting

  • Bsn Degree From An Accredited Nursing Program

  • Current Bls, Acls, And Pals Certifications

  • Experience In Caring For Surgical Icu Patients, Including Post-Operative Care And Management Of Complex Medical Conditions.
