- Provide exceptional care to newborns and their families in the Special Care Nursery.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion while working with vulnerable patients.
- Demonstrate excellent clinical skills and knowledge of neonatal care.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor and document patient progress, and communicate any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate and support new parents on newborn care and feeding.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices in neonatal care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and supportive environment.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, compassion, and excellence in patient care.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.
Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Michigan.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Special Care Nursery Or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nicu) Setting.
Experience With High-Risk Neonatal Care, Including Ventilator Management, Intravenous Therapy, And Neonatal Resuscitation.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
