
Registered Nurse - Special Care Nursery

- Provide high-quality and compassionate care to newborns and their families in the Special Care Nursery setting.
- Utilize specialized skills and knowledge in neonatal care to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
- Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital policies.
- Educate and support parents and families on caring for their newborn in the hospital and at home.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all hospital and regulatory policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in neonatal care.
- Continuously assess and improve nursing skills and knowledge to provide the best possible care for patients.
- Maintain a calm and nurturing demeanor while working in a high-stress and emotional environment.
- Act as a patient advocate and promote a positive patient experience.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and efficient discharge process for patients.
- Adhere to all infection control protocols to prevent the spread of illness and infection.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.
Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp) Certifications.
Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Michigan.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nicu) Or Special Care Nursery Setting.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
