  1. Provide compassionate and patient-centered care to patients in the Ambulatory Gastro department.
  2. Utilize strong knowledge and experience in gastroenterology to assess, diagnose, and treat patients.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  5. Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and medications.
  6. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
  7. Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times.
  8. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and protocols of the facility.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence in patient care.
  11. Stay current with advancements and developments in the field of gastroenterology.
  12. Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and respect towards patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Act as an advocate for patients and their needs.
  14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
  15. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  16. Attend and actively participate in meetings, trainings, and continuing education programs.
  17. Perform other related duties as assigned by the department manager or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution

  • Valid Rn License In The State Of Michigan

  • Bls And Acls Certifications

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Ambulatory Gastroenterology Setting

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Gastroenterology Procedures And Treatments, As Well As Experience With Electronic Medical Records Systems.
