Welcome to the Henry Ford Health System team! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Psychiatric Unit.   1. Provide compassionate and exceptional nursing care to patients in the psychiatric unit.
  2. Utilize advanced knowledge and skills in psychiatric nursing to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  4. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  5. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
  6. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
  7. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
  8. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, following all safety and infection control protocols.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
  10. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families during difficult times.
  11. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on best practices and advancements in psychiatric nursing.
  12. Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  13. Serve as an advocate for patients, promoting their rights and preferences.
  14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, contributing to a culture of excellence and teamwork within the unit.

Job Qualifications
  • Bls Certification From The American Heart Association.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Or Higher.

  • Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) Licensure In The State Of Michigan.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Psychiatric Or Mental Health Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams And Provide Patient Education.
