  1. Provide exceptional care to patients with neurological disorders, utilizing specialized knowledge and skills in neuroscience nursing.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  3. Utilize cutting-edge technology and evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality care to patients.
  4. Monitor and assess patients' physical and mental status, and communicate any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  5. Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and guidelines.
  6. Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment plans, and ways to manage their symptoms at home.
  7. Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  9. Continuously update knowledge and skills through educational opportunities and professional development.
  10. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
  11. Support a culture of teamwork and collaboration within the department and the organization as a whole.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research studies to enhance patient care.
  14. Serve as a resource and mentor for new nurses and students in the department.
  15. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Henry Ford Health System in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution Is Required For A Registered Nurse - Neuroscience Position At Henry Ford Health System. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory And Practice, As Well As Specialized Coursework In Neuroscience.

  • Current Rn License: Candidates Must Have A Current And Active Registered Nurse License In The State Of Michigan In Order To Be Considered For A Position At Henry Ford Health System. This Ensures That The Nurse Is Qualified And Authorized To Practice In The State.

  • Certification In Neuroscience Nursing: Henry Ford Health System Prefers Candidates Who Have Certification In Neuroscience Nursing From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Association Of Neuroscience Nurses (Aann). This Certification Demonstrates Advanced Knowledge And Skills In The Field Of Neuroscience Nursing.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Neuroscience Nursing: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Registered Nurse In A Neuroscience Setting. This Experience Provides The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Care For Patients With Neurological Conditions.
