  1. Provide compassionate and exceptional care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
  2. Utilize advanced nursing skills and knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment plans.
  7. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
  8. Follow all hospital policies and procedures, as well as standards of nursing practice.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based nursing practices.
  11. Stay current on advancements in critical care and nursing practices through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  12. Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
  13. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
  14. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
  15. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and provide input on patient care plans.
  16. Mentor and support new and less experienced nurses.
  17. Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the healthcare system.
  18. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  19. Remain calm and focused in high-stress situations.
  20. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care to patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications.

  • Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Michigan.

  • Strong Critical Thinking, Communication, And Organizational Skills.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Registered Nurse In An Intensive Care Unit (Icu) Setting.
