
Registered Nurse - Device Clinic

- Provide high-quality care to patients with cardiovascular devices, such as pacemakers and defibrillators.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs and device specifications.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and device function, and promptly report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families about their devices, including proper use, potential complications, and signs of device malfunction.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and document all care provided accurately and in a timely manner.

Valid Rn License: The First And Most Important Qualification For A Registered Nurse - Device Clinic At Henry Ford Health System Is A Valid Rn License In The State Of Michigan. This Ensures That The Nurse Has Met The Necessary Education And Training Requirements To Provide Safe And Effective Patient Care.
Experience In Cardiac Care: Candidates For This Position Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In A Cardiac Care Setting, Such As A Cardiac Unit Or Cardiac Catheterization Lab. This Experience Will Provide A Strong Foundation For Understanding And Managing Patients With Cardiac Devices.
Knowledge Of Cardiac Devices: A Strong Understanding Of Various Cardiac Devices, Such As Pacemakers, Defibrillators, And Cardiac Monitors, Is Essential For This Job. Candidates Should Have Experience In Device Programming, Troubleshooting, And Follow-Up Care.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As A Nurse In A Device Clinic, It Is Important To Be Prepared For Any Emergency Situations That May Arise. Bls Certification Ensures That The Nurse Is Trained In Basic Life-Saving Techniques And Is Able To Respond Quickly And Effectively In Case Of A Cardiac Emergency.
