Henry Ford Health System is seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse - Clinical Oncology Research Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in coordinating and overseeing clinical trials for our oncology patients, helping to drive forward groundbreaking research and advancements in cancer care.   1. Coordinate and oversee all aspects of clinical trials for oncology patients, including patient recruitment, enrollment, and follow-up care.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure adherence to study protocols and regulations.
  3. Monitor and document patient responses and adverse events during clinical trials.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all clinical trial data and ensure compliance with data management and regulatory requirements.
  5. Educate and inform patients and their families about the clinical trial process and answer any questions or concerns.
  6. Participate in the development and implementation of new clinical research studies and protocols.
  7. Act as a liaison between the research team and external agencies, such as pharmaceutical companies or regulatory bodies.
  8. Attend and actively contribute to meetings and conferences related to clinical research and oncology nursing.
  9. Stay current on advancements and developments in oncology research and incorporate new knowledge into daily practice.
  10. Ensure patient safety and ethical conduct throughout all stages of the clinical trial process.
  11. Maintain relationships with study sponsors and assist with budgeting and contract negotiations.
  12. Collaborate with the research team to prepare and submit necessary documents for institutional review board (IRB) approval.
  13. Serve as a resource and mentor for other nurses and healthcare professionals involved in oncology research.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve processes for clinical trial management to ensure efficiency and quality.
  15. Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Job Qualifications
  • Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Michigan.

  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Or Higher Degree In Nursing.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In Oncology.

  • Experience In Clinical Research And Knowledge Of Research Methodologies.

  • Excellent Communication, Organization, And Critical Thinking Skills.
