  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in the Ambulatory department.
  2. Utilize clinical expertise and critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, symptoms, and treatments.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  7. Monitor and report changes in patient condition and response to treatment.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  9. Continuously strive to improve patient care through ongoing education and professional development.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
  11. Assist with the coordination of patient appointments, procedures, and follow-up care.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of patient care.
  13. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of care.
  15. Promote a culture of excellence and teamwork within the Ambulatory department and throughout the organization.
  16. Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  17. Act in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics and the Henry Ford Health System mission, vision, and values.
  18. Maintain current knowledge of nursing best practices and healthcare trends.
  19. Serve as a role model for other nursing staff, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager or other members of the healthcare team.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License In The State Of Michigan: The Candidate Must Have A Valid And Current Rn License In The State Of Michigan To Be Eligible For The Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The State's Educational And Training Requirements For Practicing As A Registered Nurse.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Ambulatory Care Setting: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Ambulatory Care Setting. This Demonstrates Their Knowledge And Expertise In Providing Nursing Care To Patients In An Outpatient Setting.

  • Bls And Acls Certifications: The Candidate Should Hold Current Certifications In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls). These Certifications Are Essential For Responding To Emergency Situations And Providing Life-Saving Interventions.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Ambulatory Nurse, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Interacting With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Trust And Rapport With Patients And Providing Quality Care.

  • Ability To Multitask And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Ambulatory Care Settings Can Be Fast-Paced And Require Nurses To Handle Multiple Tasks And Patients Simultaneously. The Candidate Must Be Able To Prioritize Tasks, Work Efficiently, And Maintain A High Level Of Attention To Detail In A Fast-Paced Environment.
