  1. Administer radiation therapy treatments to cancer patients in accordance with prescribed treatment plans.
  2. Monitor patient reactions and progress during radiation therapy and report any changes or concerns to the supervising physician.
  3. Educate patients and their families about radiation therapy procedures, potential side effects, and ways to manage them.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and physicists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of treatment plans, dosages, and patient progress.
  6. Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment.
  7. Comply with all safety protocols and regulations to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
  8. Continuously stay updated on the latest advancements and techniques in radiation therapy by attending training and conferences.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to provide emotional support and address any concerns or questions.
  10. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, especially when working with patients who may be experiencing physical and emotional challenges.
  11. Adhere to the ethical and legal standards of the healthcare profession.
  12. Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate and timely submission of insurance claims and reimbursement.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  14. Adhere to the policies and procedures of the healthcare facility and comply with all regulatory requirements.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  16. Assist in the training and supervision of new radiation therapists and students.
  17. Participate in research projects and clinical trials related to radiation therapy.
  18. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, promoting teamwork and a positive work environment.
  19. Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback on ways to improve patient care and department operations.
  20. Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or department manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Radiation Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current Arrt (American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists) Certification In Radiation Therapy.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In Radiation Therapy.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of All Aspects Of Radiation Safety And Quality Assurance.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team.
