  1. Diagnose and treat patients with hand injuries and disorders using surgical techniques.
  2. Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine the best course of treatment.
  3. Perform surgeries such as hand reconstructions, nerve repairs, and tissue transfers.
  4. Collaborate with other medical professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  5. Monitor and manage post-operative care for patients.
  6. Educate patients on proper hand and wrist care, including rehabilitation exercises and preventative measures.
  7. Stay current on advancements and new techniques in plastic hand surgery.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.
  9. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  10. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the growth and development of the department.
  11. Build and maintain relationships with patients, colleagues, and staff to create a positive and supportive work environment.
  12. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and professional conduct.
  13. Attend conferences and workshops to further professional development.
  14. Meet productivity and quality of care goals set by the organization.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with patients and colleagues.
  16. Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  17. Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
  18. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  19. Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive patient experience.
  20. Other duties as assigned by the department head or hospital administration.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Plastic Hand Surgeon At Henry Ford Health System Must Possess A Medical Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: The Candidate Must Be Board Certified In Plastic Surgery And Have Additional Training And Certification In Hand Surgery.

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Plastic And Hand Surgery, Preferably In A Hospital Or Academic Medical Center Setting.

  • Specialized Skills: The Candidate Must Have A Strong Understanding And Proficiency In Microsurgery, Nerve Repair, And Complex Hand Reconstruction Procedures.

  • Communication And Teamwork: Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Multidisciplinary Teams Is Essential For This Role.
