- Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients with serious and life-limiting illnesses.
- Work collaboratively with the Palliative Care team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and maintain accurate medical records.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by supervising physician.
- Educate patients and their families about palliative care principles and practices.
- Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and their families during difficult times.
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Stay up-to-date with current research and advancements in palliative care.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, their families, and colleagues.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team.
- Continuously assess and improve the quality of care provided to patients.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Master's Degree In Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program
Current Certification By The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa)
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Palliative Care Or Related Field
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams And Patients
Knowledge And Understanding Of End-Of-Life Care, Pain Management, And Symptom Control In Palliative Care Patients.
