  1. Dispensing and preparing complex infusion medications for patients according to physician orders.
  2. Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records and medication profiles.
  3. Collaborating with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate medication therapy for patients.
  4. Adhering to all safety and quality standards in the preparation and handling of medications.
  5. Providing excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
  6. Assisting with inventory management and ordering of medication supplies.
  7. Ensuring proper storage and handling of medications.
  8. Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas.
  9. Participating in ongoing training and education to stay current on new medications and treatment protocols.
  10. Following all HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  11. Identifying and reporting any medication errors or adverse reactions to the appropriate personnel.
  12. Communicating effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members.
  13. Adhering to all state and federal regulations related to pharmacy operations.
  14. Maintaining a professional and positive attitude while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  15. Contributing to a team-oriented and collaborative work culture within the pharmacy department.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: A Pharmacy Technician Must Hold A Valid Certification From A Recognized Program, Such As The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience As A Pharmacy Technician In An Infusion Or Specialty Pharmacy Setting Is Required For This Role.

  • Knowledge Of Drug Therapy: A Strong Understanding Of Drug Therapy, Including Drug Interactions, Side Effects, Dosage Calculations, And Compounding Techniques Is Essential For This Position.

  • Attention To Detail: The Pharmacy Technician Must Have Strong Attention To Detail And Be Able To Accurately Measure And Dispense Medications, As Well As Maintain Accurate Records Of Patient Information And Medication Orders.

  • Communication And Teamwork: Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment Are Crucial For A Pharmacy Technician Working In An Infusion Or Specialty Pharmacy, As They Will Be Working Closely With Pharmacists, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Provide Optimal Patient Care.
