
Pharmacy Technician - Discharge Pharmacy

- Ensure accuracy and completeness of medication orders and patient profiles.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide top-notch patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers regarding medication instructions and any potential drug interactions or side effects.
- Accurately enter and update patient information and medication orders in electronic health records.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering and restocking medications.
- Help to resolve any medication-related issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on new medications and procedures.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Most Employers Require A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent For Pharmacy Technician Positions.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) Certification: Obtaining Certification From The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Is Highly Preferred For This Role.
Previous Experience In A Hospital Or Discharge Pharmacy Setting: Employers Typically Prefer Candidates With At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Hospital Or Discharge Pharmacy Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Pharmaceutical Terminology And Medication Management: A Solid Understanding Of Pharmaceutical Terminology And Medication Management Is Essential For This Role To Ensure Accurate Dispensing And Patient Safety.
