- Dispensing and preparing medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Accurately and efficiently filling medication orders and labeling prescriptions.
- Maintaining inventory levels and ensuring proper storage and handling of medications.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications to patients.

Completion Of An Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Formal Program In Pharmacy Technology From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures They Have Received Proper Training In Medication Dispensing, Inventory Management, And Other Essential Skills.
State Certification And License: Pharmacy Technicians Are Required To Have A Valid License In The State Where They Work. This Demonstrates Their Knowledge And Understanding Of State-Specific Laws And Regulations Related To Pharmacy Practice.
At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In An Acute Care Pharmacy Setting: Candidates Should Have Hands-On Experience Working In A Hospital Or Other Acute Care Setting. This Experience Provides Them With A Strong Foundation In Medication Management And Prepares Them To Handle The Fast-Paced Environment Of An Acute Care Pharmacy.
Strong Knowledge Of Pharmaceutical Terminology And Medication Safety Protocols: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Medication Safety Protocols In Order To Accurately And Safely Dispense Medications.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Pharmacy Technicians At Henry Ford Health System Will Be Working Closely With Pharmacists, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
