  1. Dispense and review medications used in cell and gene therapy, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols and safety standards.
  2. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients receiving cell and gene therapy.
  3. Monitor and manage medication therapy for patients undergoing cell and gene therapy, including dose adjustments and monitoring for adverse effects.
  4. Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and advancements in cell and gene therapy, and provide education and training to colleagues as needed.
  5. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and make recommendations for treatment.
  6. Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including medication profiles and documentation of interventions and outcomes.
  7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting agency standards related to cell and gene therapy medications.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of cell and gene therapy services and improve patient outcomes.
  9. Serve as a resource for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals regarding medication-related questions or concerns.
  10. Provide guidance and support to pharmacy staff regarding the handling and storage of cell and gene therapy medications.
  11. Collaborate with pharmaceutical manufacturers and specialty pharmacies to ensure timely and appropriate delivery of cell and gene therapy medications.
  12. Adhere to the health system's policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  13. Participate in research and clinical trials related to cell and gene therapy, as appropriate.
  14. Continuously assess and improve the cell and gene therapy pharmacy service to meet the changing needs of patients and the healthcare industry.
