Job Description

  1. Greet and welcome patients with warmth, empathy, and professionalism upon their arrival to our facilities.
  2. Facilitate the registration process for patients by collecting and verifying personal and insurance information accurately and efficiently.
  3. Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.
  4. Communicate with patients to explain registration procedures and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
  5. Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to ensure a smooth and timely registration process.
  6. Monitor and maintain patient flow to minimize wait times and maximize efficiency.
  7. Handle and resolve any patient complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  8. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for services.
  9. Collect and process payments for services rendered.
  10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  12. Participate in training and continuing education opportunities to stay updated on registration processes and healthcare industry changes.
  13. Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, colleagues, and visitors at all times.
  15. Contribute to a positive and welcoming environment for patients and their families.
  16. Ensure a high level of accuracy in all tasks performed to minimize errors and promote patient safety.
  17. Communicate with patients and their families to ensure they are informed and comfortable during their stay.
  18. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient satisfaction and continuously seek ways to improve the patient experience.
  19. Adhere to departmental and organizational goals, policies, and protocols.
  20. Serve as a representative of Henry Ford Health System and promote our values of excellence, compassion, respect, and integrity.
