  1. Greet and welcome patients and their families in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Accurately and efficiently register patients by collecting and entering their personal and insurance information into the system.
  3. Verify insurance coverage and eligibility to ensure accurate billing and payment.
  4. Schedule appointments for patients with various departments and physicians.
  5. Communicate with patients to provide information about their visit, including location, time, and any necessary preparations.
  6. Assist patients with completing necessary forms and obtaining required signatures.
  7. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all HIPAA guidelines.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and timely service.
  9. Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  10. Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
  11. Stay updated on insurance policies and changes to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  12. Maintain accurate and organized records of patient information.
  13. Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication Skills: A Patient Registration Representative Must Have Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Co-Workers, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Attention To Detail: This Role Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Accurately Collect And Record Patient Information, Insurance Details, And Medical History.

  • Computer Proficiency: Proficiency In Using Electronic Health Record Systems And Other Computer Programs Is Essential For This Role. The Ability To Navigate And Input Data Accurately Is Crucial.

  • Customer Service Experience: A Patient Registration Representative Must Have Previous Customer Service Experience, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. They Must Be Able To Handle Patient Inquiries, Complaints, And Concerns In A Professional And Empathetic Manner.

  • Knowledge Of Hipaa Regulations: A Strong Understanding Of Hipaa Regulations Is Necessary For This Role To Ensure Patient Confidentiality And Privacy Are Maintained At All Times.
