  1. Work closely with pathologists to assist in conducting laboratory procedures and examinations.
  2. Prepare tissue specimens for analysis and diagnosis.
  3. Perform accurate and timely gross dissection and description of surgical specimens.
  4. Prepare and maintain reagents, solutions, and equipment for laboratory procedures.
  5. Ensure proper labeling, tracking, and documentation of all specimens.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory and equipment.
  7. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and report any malfunctions.
  8. Follow proper safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  9. Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory techniques and procedures.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and accurate patient care.
  11. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and trainings.
  12. Keep accurate and organized records of all laboratory procedures and results.
  13. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
  14. Stay updated on current trends and advancements in the field of pathology.
  15. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  16. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  17. Follow all policies and procedures set by the organization.
  18. Collaborate with other Pathologist's Assistants to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  19. Assist with training and mentoring new staff members.
  20. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures for optimal efficiency and accuracy.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field, Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Forensic Science.

  • Successful Completion Of A Pathologists' Assistant Program Accredited By The National Accrediting Agency For Clinical Laboratory Sciences (Naacls).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Pathology Laboratory.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Anatomy, Histology, And Laboratory Techniques.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With Physicians, Laboratory Staff, And Patients.
