  1. Perform accurate and timely pathological examinations and diagnoses on patient samples, utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques and equipment.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  3. Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in all aspects of pathology, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  4. Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings, conferences, and continuing education opportunities to stay current on new developments and advancements in the field.
  5. Contribute to the development and implementation of new diagnostic techniques and technologies.
  6. Maintain accurate and complete records of all laboratory tests, procedures, and results.
  7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including CLIA and CAP standards.
  8. Provide consultation services to physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient samples and test results.
  9. Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  10. Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and privacy, following all HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
  11. Actively participate in research projects and publications to advance the understanding and treatment of diseases.
  12. Mentor and train new staff members, residents, and medical students in the field of pathology.
  13. Continually evaluate and improve laboratory processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  14. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of the organization, striving to provide exceptional patient care and make a significant impact in the field of healthcare.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (Md Or Do) From An Accredited Institution

  • Active And Unrestricted Medical License In The State Of Michigan

  • Completion Of A Residency Program In Anatomic And/Or Clinical Pathology

  • Board Certification In Anatomic And/Or Clinical Pathology From The American Board Of Pathology

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In The Practice Of Pathology, Preferably In A Hospital Or Health System Setting.
