- Perform comprehensive eye exams and diagnose visual disorders, diseases, and conditions in patients of all ages.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed.
- Provide personalized and compassionate care to patients, addressing their individual needs and concerns.
- Stay updated on the latest developments and advancements in optometry and incorporate them into practice.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the organization to provide a holistic approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, exam findings, and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on proper eye care and hygiene practices, as well as the importance of regular eye exams.
- Participate in departmental meetings and trainings to stay informed about organizational policies and protocols.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of optometric practice.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and other staff members.
- Contribute to a positive and welcoming work environment by demonstrating professionalism and teamwork.
- Continuously monitor and maintain equipment and supplies necessary for effective patient care.
- Communicate with insurance companies and assist patients with billing and insurance claims.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Henry Ford Health System, promoting our mission and values in all interactions with patients and the community.
Doctor Of Optometry (Od) Degree From An Accredited Optometry School.
Valid License To Practice Optometry In The State Of Michigan.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Ocular Diseases, Conditions, And Treatments.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Colleagues, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
