
Nurse Assistant - Cardiovascular ICU

- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the interdisciplinary team.
- Assist with procedures and treatments as directed by the healthcare team.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing emotional support and answering any questions.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Assist with patient mobility and activities of daily living.
- Administer basic medications and treatments as directed by a healthcare provider.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude while working in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the healthcare team.
Certification: A Nurse Assistant - Cardiovascular Icu At Henry Ford Health System Must Possess A Valid Certification From An Accredited Nursing Assistant Program.
Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Nursing Assistant In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting Is Required, With Preference Given To Those With Experience In The Cardiovascular Icu.
Knowledge Of Cardiovascular Care: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Cardiovascular Care, Including Procedures, Medications, And Equipment Commonly Used In The Icu Setting.
Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential For A Nurse Assistant - Cardiovascular Icu, As They Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Families, And The Healthcare Team To Provide Quality Care And Support.
Team Player: The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment Is Crucial For This Role, As The Nurse Assistant Will Be Collaborating With Other Healthcare Professionals To Deliver Comprehensive Care To Patients In The Cardiovascular Icu.
