  1. Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to newborns and their families.
  2. Utilize advanced nursing knowledge and clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat neonatal patients.
  3. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement treatment plans for neonatal patients.
  4. Monitor and evaluate patients' progress and response to treatments, making necessary adjustments as needed.
  5. Educate and support families on caring for their newborns, including providing resources and information on developmental milestones, feeding, and safety.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including documentation of assessments, treatments, and progress.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and quality care.
  8. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for neonatal care.
  9. Stay current on advancements and updates in neonatal care through continuing education and participation in professional development opportunities.
  10. Foster a supportive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among healthcare team members.
  11. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and sensitivity when working with families and their newborns, especially in challenging or sensitive situations.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  14. Continuously strive for excellence in patient care and service, seeking opportunities for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices.
  15. Represent the hospital and its mission positively in all interactions with patients, families, and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Neonatology.

  • Current Certification As A Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (Nnp) From A Recognized National Certification Board.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As An Nnp In A Level Iii Or Higher Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nicu).

  • Valid Rn License In The State Of Michigan And Ability To Obtain Nnp License.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With A Focus On Providing Family-Centered Care And Collaboration With A Multidisciplinary Team.
