- Operate the medical mobile unit in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring the well-being of patients and staff at all times.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record in accordance with company policies and state regulations.
- Plan and coordinate daily routes for the mobile unit, taking into consideration traffic, weather, and other factors.
- Greet and welcome patients as they enter the mobile unit, ensuring a positive and friendly experience.
- Assist patients with boarding and exiting the mobile unit, providing any necessary support or accommodations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff to ensure timely and accurate transportation to and from medical appointments.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, vehicle maintenance, and other required documentation.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the mobile unit's equipment and emergency protocols in case of any unforeseen circumstances.

Valid Commercial Driver's License (Cdl): A Medical Mobile Unit Driver At Henry Ford Health System Must Possess A Valid Cdl With A Clean Driving Record. This Ensures That The Driver Is Qualified And Trained To Operate Large Vehicles Safely And Efficiently.
Medical Training And Knowledge: The Driver Should Have Basic Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures In Order To Assist The Medical Staff On Board. This Includes Knowledge Of First Aid, Cpr, And Other Emergency Protocols.
Experience In Operating Medical Mobile Units: Previous Experience In Operating A Medical Mobile Unit Is Highly Preferred. This Ensures That The Driver Is Familiar With The Equipment And Protocols Specific To This Type Of Vehicle.
Excellent Communication Skills: The Driver Must Have Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With The Medical Staff, Patients, And Other Team Members. This Includes The Ability To Follow Instructions, Convey Information Clearly, And Handle Potentially Stressful Situations With Professionalism.
