- Perform a variety of complex laboratory tests and analyses using specialized equipment and techniques to accurately diagnose and treat patients.
- Adhere to strict laboratory protocols and procedures to ensure quality control and high levels of accuracy in all testing.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, troubleshoot any technical issues, and report any malfunctions or discrepancies to superiors.
- Analyze and interpret test results, and accurately record and report findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of test results, contributing to the overall diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Keep up-to-date with current scientific literature and advancements in the field of medical laboratory science, incorporating new techniques and procedures into laboratory protocols as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials and adherence to universal precautions.
- Train and supervise junior laboratory staff, providing guidance and support in all aspects of laboratory operations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all tests performed and quality control measures taken, in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain certification and stay current with industry standards and best practices.

Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Or A Related Field.
Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) By The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or Equivalent Organization.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Chemistry Laboratory Setting.
Knowledge And Proficiency In A Wide Range Of Laboratory Techniques And Instruments, Including Spectrophotometry, Chromatography, And Electrophoresis.
Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Quality Control Procedures, As Well As The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Technical Issues.
