  1. Develop and implement infection prevention strategies across the entire healthcare system.
  2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the infection prevention department.
  3. Establish and maintain protocols for preventing and controlling the spread of infectious diseases.
  4. Monitor and evaluate infection control practices and policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement infection control training programs.
  6. Supervise and mentor infection control staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.
  7. Stay updated on advancements in infection control and implement new practices and technologies as appropriate.
  8. Lead infection control committees and present findings and recommendations to hospital leadership.
  9. Communicate with external agencies and organizations regarding infection control matters.
  10. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of infectious diseases to local and state health departments.
  11. Participate in hospital-wide initiatives and committees to improve patient safety and quality of care.
  12. Serve as a resource for healthcare providers and staff on infection prevention and control practices.
  13. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to promote infection prevention efforts.
  14. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  15. Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Infection Prevention And Control, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Certified In Infection Control (Cic) Through The Certification Board Of Infection Control And Epidemiology (Cbic).

  • Strong Knowledge Of Infection Prevention Guidelines And Regulations, Including Cdc, Osha, And State Health Department Requirements.

  • Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Healthcare Providers, Staff, And External Agencies.
