  1. Conduct thorough and accurate patient assessments, including taking vital signs, recording medical history, and documenting chief complaints.
  2. Assist healthcare providers with procedures and treatments, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for young patients.
  3. Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers, adhering to dosage and safety protocols.
  4. Ensure proper maintenance and organization of medical equipment and supplies, including keeping track of inventory and ordering new supplies as needed.
  5. Educate patients and their families on preventive care, medication management, and health maintenance.
  6. Maintain patient records and update electronic health records with accurate and timely information.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and professionalism.
  8. Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  9. Assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and providing necessary paperwork and information to patients.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay updated on current best practices in pediatric care.
  11. Collaborate with other medical assistants and healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  12. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
  13. Provide support to patients and their families during times of stress or emotional turmoil, demonstrating sensitivity and understanding.
  14. Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, relaying important information and addressing any concerns or questions.
  15. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the healthcare system and promote a positive and welcoming environment for all patients and staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Certification From An Accredited Program.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In A Pediatric Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Pediatric Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Equipment.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Children And Their Families.

  • Ability To Multitask And Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced, High-Volume Environment While Maintaining Attention To Detail.
