Lead Radiographer

- Lead and supervise a team of radiographers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
- Develop and implement protocols and procedures to maintain and improve the quality of radiology services.

- Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies to ensure they are functioning properly and well-stocked.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in the radiology department.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Stay updated with advancements in radiology technology and techniques, and provide recommendations for their implementation.
- Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to promote professional growth.
- Act as a liaison between the radiology department and other departments within the healthcare system.
- Handle patient and staff concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with management to develop and manage departmental budgets and maintain cost-effective operations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance.

Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or Related Field: A Lead Radiographer At Henry Ford Health System Should Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or A Related Field. This Educational Background Provides The Necessary Theoretical Knowledge And Practical Skills To Excel In This Role.
American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) Certification: Arrt Certification Is Required For All Radiographers At Henry Ford Health System, And It Is Particularly Important For A Lead Radiographer. This Certification Demonstrates Proficiency And Competency In The Field Of Radiography.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Radiography: Lead Radiographers At Henry Ford Health System Must Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Radiographer. This Experience Should Include Working In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting, As Well As Experience In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills: The Lead Radiographer Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Radiographers, Communicating With Other Healthcare Professionals, And Interacting With Patients. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential For This Role.
Knowledge Of Radiology Equipment And Procedures: A Lead Radiographer At Henry Ford Health System Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Radiology Equipment And Procedures. This Includes Knowledge Of Different Imaging Techniques, Safety Protocols, And Quality Control Measures. Familiarity With The Systems And Equipment Used At Henry Ford Health System Is Also Preferred.
