- Conduct psychological evaluations to assess the mental and emotional well-being of patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with psychological and behavioral health concerns.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Use evidence-based techniques and interventions to address patient needs and promote overall health and well-being.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities.
- Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health and wellness, including coping strategies and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date on advancements in the field of health psychology.
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment strategies.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care.
- Serve as a resource and consultant to other healthcare professionals on psychological issues and interventions.
- Actively contribute to the development and implementation of programs aimed at improving patient outcomes and promoting overall wellness.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth.
- Uphold the mission and values of Henry Ford Health System in all interactions and responsibilities.
A Doctoral Degree In Psychology, Preferably With A Focus On Health Psychology Or Behavioral Medicine.
At Least 2-3 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Working With Patients With Chronic Illnesses Or Chronic Pain.
Knowledge And Experience In Evidence-Based Interventions And Therapies For Managing Chronic Health Conditions, Such As Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy And Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Healthcare Professionals From Different Disciplines.
Familiarity With Research Methods And Data Analysis, As Well As Prior Experience Conducting And Publishing Research In The Field Of Health Psychology.
