Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For An Eye Care Assistant At Henry Ford Health System Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge Necessary For The Position.

  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (Coa) Or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (Cot) Certification: Candidates With A Coa Or Cot Certification Will Have An Advantage In The Hiring Process. These Certifications Demonstrate A Higher Level Of Knowledge And Skills In The Field Of Eye Care.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Particularly In An Eye Care Clinic, Is Preferred For This Position. This Shows Familiarity With The Healthcare Environment And An Understanding Of Patient Care.

  • Knowledge Of Ophthalmic Equipment And Procedures: A Strong Understanding Of Ophthalmic Equipment And Procedures Is Necessary For An Eye Care Assistant At Henry Ford Health System. This Includes Knowledge Of Instruments, Diagnostic Tests, And Patient Preparation.
