  1. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients in the Emergency Room.
  2. Assist medical staff in performing routine tasks such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and conducting basic exams.
  3. Monitor patients and report any changes in their condition to medical staff.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized environment in the Emergency Room.
  5. Help transport patients to and from various areas within the hospital.
  6. Assist with patient triage and intake, ensuring all necessary information is gathered accurately and efficiently.
  7. Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  8. Demonstrate excellent communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and medical staff.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients.
  10. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  11. Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge.
  12. Remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, and effectively handle emergencies.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
  14. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance the quality of care provided.
  15. Display a positive attitude and act as a role model for other staff members.
  16. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  17. Uphold the mission and values of Henry Ford Health System in all interactions and tasks.
  18. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and procedures performed.
  19. Assist with other tasks and responsibilities as needed within the Emergency Room.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent.

  • Completion Of An Accredited Emergency Medical Technician (Emt) Program.

  • Current Certification As A Basic Life Support (Bls) Provider.

  • Prior Experience Working In An Emergency Department Or Other Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Well Under Pressure.
