  1. Perform electrocardiogram (EKG) tests on patients to help diagnose heart conditions.
  2. Prepare patients for EKG procedures and explain the process to them in a compassionate and professional manner.
  3. Accurately and efficiently record and analyze EKG results.
  4. Recognize and report any abnormalities or irregularities in EKG readings to the supervising physician.
  5. Maintain and operate EKG equipment, ensuring that it is in proper working condition at all times.
  6. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  7. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  8. Provide exceptional patient care by addressing any concerns or questions they may have during the EKG procedure.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions.
  10. Keep accurate and detailed records of all EKG tests performed.
  11. Stay up-to-date with advancements and changes in EKG technology and procedures.
  12. Act as a resource for patients and staff by providing information and education on EKG procedures and heart health.
  13. Assist with other tasks and duties as assigned by the supervising physician or healthcare team.
  14. Uphold the values and mission of Henry Ford Health System in all interactions with patients, staff, and the community.
