Job Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Division Head of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Henry Ford Health System.As the Division Head, you will play a critical role in managing and directing our pulmonary and critical care services, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.   1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine division, including clinical operations, budget, and staffing.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the quality of care and patient outcomes.
  3. Provide leadership and direction to a team of physicians, nurses, and support staff.
  4. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
  5. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with referring physicians and other healthcare providers.
  7. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
  8. Develop and monitor division goals and objectives to align with the overall goals of the organization.
  9. Stay up-to-date with advancements in pulmonary and critical care medicine and implement best practices.
  10. Collaborate with other departments and divisions to optimize patient care and improve processes.
  11. Participate in hospital committees and meetings to represent the Pulmonary & Critical Care division.
  12. Act as a liaison between the division and hospital administration.
  13. Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure the division runs smoothly.
  14. Develop and maintain a budget for the division and monitor expenditures.
  15. Continuously assess and improve the quality of services provided by the division.
  16. Act as a mentor and coach to staff, providing guidance for professional development.
  17. Handle any issues or conflicts that may arise within the division.
  18. Maintain open communication with all team members and promote a culture of transparency and trust.
  19. Develop and implement initiatives to increase patient satisfaction and enhance the patient experience.
  20. Represent the division at conferences, events, and other professional activities to promote the division and its services.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (Md Or Do) From An Accredited Institution

  • Board Certification In Pulmonary And Critical Care Medicine

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Practicing Physician In The Field

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Demonstrated Experience In Managing A Team

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Multidisciplinary Teams And Communicate Effectively With Patients And Their Families.
