- Oversee daily operations of the pharmacy department, including managing resources, workflow, and staff scheduling.
- Ensure the highest quality of care and service to patients by developing and implementing policies and procedures that align with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with a team of pharmacists and technicians to drive continuous improvement and innovation in pharmacy services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and analyze pharmacy performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and ensure compliance with all state and federal laws related to pharmacy practice.
- Manage and maintain the pharmacy budget, including forecasting and monitoring expenses.
- Lead and mentor pharmacy staff, providing ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining appropriate medication levels.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and committees to provide pharmacy expertise and contribute to patient care improvement initiatives.
- Represent the pharmacy department in hospital-wide initiatives and strategic planning.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment for pharmacy staff and patients, following all safety protocols and infection control measures.
Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 10 Years Experience In Pharmacy Operations, With At Least 5 Years In A Leadership Role.
Strong Understanding Of Pharmacy Regulations And Accreditation Standards, Including Cms, Tjc, And State Boards Of Pharmacy.
Proven Track Record Of Implementing Successful Operational Strategies And Process Improvements In A Complex Healthcare Environment.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Cross-Functional Teams And External Stakeholders.
