Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for both healthcare and technology? Henry Ford Health System is seeking a Director of Pathology Informatics to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise in both pathology and informatics to drive innovation and improve patient care. As the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of technology solutions in our pathology department, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration, and providing strategic direction for the department.   1. Develop and implement technology solutions in the pathology department to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall patient care.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, lab personnel, and medical staff, to ensure successful integration of technology solutions.
  3. Provide strategic direction for the department, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  4. Lead and mentor a team of informatics and pathology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  5. Stay up-to-date on advancements in both healthcare and technology, and proactively identify potential new solutions for the department.
  6. Oversee the management and maintenance of existing technology systems and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure the department has access to the latest technology and resources.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to pathology informatics.
  9. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and address any technology-related needs or challenges.
  10. Use data and analytics to track and measure the impact of technology solutions on patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
  11. Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements and advancements in technology.
  12. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, to provide updates on technology initiatives and progress.
  13. Act as a liaison between the pathology department and other departments within the organization to ensure alignment and collaboration on technology initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Pathology Or Biomedical Informatics From An Accredited University.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Clinical Informatics Department.

  • Knowledge Of Current And Emerging Technologies In Pathology Informatics, Such As Digital Imaging, Laboratory Information Systems, And Data Analytics.

  • Strong Understanding Of Laboratory And Pathology Workflows, Including Specimen Collection, Processing, And Analysis.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders.
