Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dialysis Clinical Technician to join our team at Henry Ford Health System.   1. Conduct dialysis treatments according to established protocols and procedures.
  2. Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatment, making adjustments as needed.
  3. Set up and operate dialysis equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
  4. Educate patients and their families on dialysis procedures, equipment, and self-care techniques.
  5. Assist in the assessment and documentation of patients' medical history and current condition.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely records of patients' treatments and progress.
  7. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  8. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  9. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe treatment environment for patients and staff.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to provide compassionate and comprehensive care.
  11. Participate in continuing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in dialysis technology.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including stocking and ordering necessary supplies.
  13. Assist with the transportation of patients to and from the dialysis unit.
  14. Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings and supporting fellow team members.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Dialysis Technician (Cdt) Certification Or Equivalent

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Dialysis Clinical Setting

  • Knowledge Of Dialysis Equipment And Procedures, Including Machine Set-Up, Maintenance, And Troubleshooting

  • Strong Understanding Of Infection Control Protocols And Safety Measures In A Clinical Setting

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals
