  1. Perform accurate and timely analysis and interpretation of cellular samples using specialized techniques and equipment.
  2. Utilize knowledge of cytology principles and techniques to accurately identify and diagnose abnormalities in cellular samples.
  3. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure the quality and integrity of results.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  5. Communicate and collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure proper patient care.
  6. Keep up-to-date with advancements in cytology technology and techniques, and implement them in daily work.
  7. Document and record test results accurately and maintain proper records for future reference.
  8. Troubleshoot technical issues and take appropriate actions to resolve them.
  9. Participate in quality control and assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of results.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling patient samples and information.
  11. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  12. Act as a resource and mentor to other laboratory staff, sharing knowledge and expertise.
  13. Adhere to all regulatory requirements and standards, including CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA.
  14. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professionalism.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Cytotechnology Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Certification As A Cytotechnologist (Ct) By The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Cytology Laboratory Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Cytology Principles, Techniques, And Procedures.
