Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board-Certified In Colon & Rectal Surgery By The American Board Of Colon And Rectal Surgery. This Demonstrates A High Level Of Proficiency And Ensures That The Surgeon Is Up-To-Date With The Latest Medical Advancements And Techniques In The Field.
Residency Training: Candidates Must Have Completed A Five-Year Residency In General Surgery Followed By An Additional One To Two Years Of Specialized Fellowship Training In Colon And Rectal Surgery. This Training Provides Hands-On Experience In Diagnosing And Treating Complex Colorectal Conditions.
