We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in performing diagnostic ultrasound studies of the heart and vascular system, playing a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of our patients.   1. Perform diagnostic ultrasound studies of the heart and vascular system using specialized equipment and techniques.
  2. Obtain and record accurate patient medical history and explain procedures to patients in a compassionate and professional manner.
  3. Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and medications for procedures.
  4. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during procedures.
  5. Evaluate and interpret ultrasound images to accurately identify and diagnose cardiac and vascular conditions.
  6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  9. Continuously stay updated on advancements in technology, techniques, and procedures related to cardiac sonography.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing new protocols and procedures.
  11. Train and mentor new staff members and students as needed.
  12. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  13. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  14. Attend continuing education programs and maintain relevant certifications and licensure.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while representing the Henry Ford Health System.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Current Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) Through The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Performing Cardiac Ultrasound Procedures In A Clinical Setting.

  • Knowledge And Proficiency In Using Advanced Ultrasound Equipment And Interpreting Results.
