  1. Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams on patients, including 2D, M-mode, and Doppler echocardiograms, to assess cardiac structure and function.
  2. Utilize advanced technology and techniques to obtain high-quality images and accurately measure cardiac parameters.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation of results and timely delivery of reports.
  4. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all privacy and safety protocols.
  5. Educate patients on the purpose and process of the exam, and provide them with emotional support and reassurance throughout the procedure.
  6. Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities or concerns to the supervising physician.
  7. Keep accurate and detailed records of procedures, including patient medical history and exam findings.
  8. Calibrate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and quality images.
  9. Stay up-to-date on advancements in cardiac sonography and implement new techniques and procedures as necessary.
  10. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, promoting a positive and comfortable experience for patients.
  11. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective workflow, and assist with training and mentoring new staff members.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
  13. Continuously assess and improve upon personal skills and knowledge to provide the highest level of patient care.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following infection control protocols.
  15. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success and growth of the department.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field

  • Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) Through The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms)

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience In Performing Cardiac Ultrasound Procedures

  • Strong Knowledge Of Cardiovascular Anatomy, Physiology, And Pathology

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Working With Patients And Healthcare Team Members
