We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Operating Room Surgical Technologist to join our BestChoice team.   1. Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment for procedures.
  2. Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other healthcare team members during surgeries.
  3. Ensure sterile field is properly set up and maintained throughout procedures.
  4. Assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery.
  5. Monitor and document patient vital signs and communicate any changes to the surgical team.
  6. Assist with surgical procedures, including passing instruments, holding retractors, and suturing.
  7. Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols.
  8. Restock and organize surgical supplies and equipment.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  10. Remain up-to-date on new techniques, equipment, and procedures related to surgical technology.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  12. Act as a patient advocate, providing comfort and support during surgical procedures.
  13. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all procedures and patient information.
  14. Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
  15. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  16. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings.
  17. Uphold the values and mission of Henry Ford Health System in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Operating Room Setting, Preferably In A Level I Or Ii Trauma Center.

  • Proficiency In A Wide Range Of Surgical Procedures, Including General, Orthopedic, Neurological, And Minimally Invasive Surgeries.

  • Familiarity With Surgical Equipment And Instrumentation, And The Ability To Anticipate The Needs Of The Surgeon During Procedures.
